I was probably like many others who come to Serenity House - not looking forward to it but had got to the point where I had to get help. I am SO pleased and relieved I made it. The thought of never having a drink again seemed like a life sentence and I had envisaged a sober life
As dull, grey and flat. In fact just the opposite is true and every day I am so grateful to have got there. and I had envisaged a sober life as dull, grey and flat. In fact just the opposite is true and every day I am so grateful to have got there. In fact just the opposite is true and every day I am so grateful to have got there. People talk about getting their lives back and it's true, and more. I hadn't realised how much I was missing out on and can only find positives in being sober.
The help I received at Serenity House was invaluable. As the staff have been through it all themselves they are very sensitive to the different emotions you go through and offer all the support they can. They also take you through the Steps and educate you in a way that's clear and easy to understand and they're happy to help with any questions or difficulties. They also give back-up once you leave which is important and reassuring.
I can't thank them enough for what I've got now and if anyone is in two minds about whether or not to take the plunge, I’d tell them to definitely go for it at Serenity House.
